I am a co-founder and Executive Committee member of the The Teaching History Conference, a community of practice for K–16 history educators at all levels and in all sectors. The Teaching History Conference, which began in 2015, gathers every two years for a flagship conference to discuss pedagogy and practice in the history classroom. We are the only K–16 history education conference in the United States.

The most recent flagship conference, "Challenges in Teaching & Learning in History: Issues of Pedagogy and Content," was held on May 7–8, 2021. This virtual conference was hosted by the History Project at UC Davis.
